Diego Luna, star of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, has revealed that the upcoming Disney+ show starring his character Cassian Andor has actually been in the works for awhile. Rogue One is a standalone offshoot of the Star Wars Skywalker saga. Released in 2016, it focused on the characters who stole the plans for the Death Star and takes place prior to all three main trilogies. In addition to Luna, the movie starred Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso and Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic....

Ahead of next week’s iPad Air launch, dozens of countries across the world, regional carriers within the United States have begun announcing their plans for carrying the LTE-capable version of the tablet. While major carriers AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and Sprint will begin selling the iPad Air on Friday, November 1st, these smaller, region-specific networks say that they will start selling the device in the “coming weeks.” So far, Bluegrass Cellular and C Spire are the two regional carriers to announce iPad Air plans, and other carriers will likely share their own announcements in the coming days and weeks....

A new clinical observation study published today by Nature Biotechnology (via The Verge) includes findings from an asthma test based on Apple’s ResearchKit framework. The asthma app relies on the iPhone app to voluntarily collect information, and the published study shows that such an approach can produce results. A new report from research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners today details Apple’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus launch, showing some numbers that support the company’s continued claims of increasing Android switchers and more. Just over a week ago, the FBI revealed that it had successfully unlocked the iPhone 5c used by one of the San Bernardino gunmen without the help of Apple.
