Some recent rumors claim that the launch of the next-generation iPhone will be delayed until October or November this year due to supply constraints. And now, as noted by The Verge, Qualcomm might have confirmed that at least some iPhone 12 models will not be available in September as usual. Qualcomm today shared its Q3 earnings report and also some expectations for the next quarter. With this report, the company mentioned that it expects an impact on Q4 shipments with the delay of a flagship 5G phone....

Qualcomm has settled its differences with Samsung over its chip licensing practices, and says that it hopes to do the same with Apple. While there were no lawsuits between Qualcomm and Samsung, the Korean company had been opposing the chipmaker’s appeal against a Fair Trade Commission anti-trust ruling … Qualcomm was fined more than $850M a little over a year ago after the Korean FTC found that Qualcomm’s business practices of patent licensing and smartphone chip sales hindered competition....

Kentucky-based regional carrier Bluegrass Cellular originally had plans to offer the iPhone 5 at the end of September following its launch, but today announced it will finally have the device to offer its customers starting Friday, November 2nd. Earlier this year, the United States government enacted a new policy that prevents tablets and laptops from being carried in carry-on baggage on flights to the United States from eight countries. The worldwide chip shortage that we’ve seen hit all industries is continuing to worsen with a new analyst report saying the lead times have hit a danger zone. While Apple was able to mostly avoid bottlenecks until now, its Mac and iPad lineups may be impacted this quarter as chip wait times climb to 17 weeks. Reported by Bloomberg, a new note from Susquehanna Financial Group says that chip delays went from 16 weeks in March to 17 weeks in April, “indicating users are getting more desperate to secure supply....

There are two common ways to access System settings. The quickest way is if your device has a menu button, just press it while on the home screen, and then tap System Settings. The other way to load settings it to open the Settings app from the app drawer. In the settings menu tap the Apps button. Now the device should be displaying the apps list. From here tap the menu button again and then select “Reset app preferences....

Beats Solo Pro is the the biggest upgrade to the Solo line of on-ear headphones since Apple bought Beats five years ago. While the evolved $299 ‘Pro’ version carries a $100 premium over Solo3 Wireless, Solo Pro includes active noise cancellation found in Beats Studio3 Wireless for $50 less. No doubt this app (aside from games) is one of a handful that will directly benefit from the A8X performance gains....

Back at CES we gave you a preview of the first Made-for-iPhone Bluetooth LE hearing aid when GN’s Resound Linx started rolling out to select markets ahead of an official launch. Today the company announced that it’s now rolling out in global markets alongside the new ReSound Smart companion app. The hearing aid is the first under Apple’s MFi program using new Apple-developed Bluetooth LE hearing aid technology that introduces new possibilities for the product category....
