Variety reports that sources have confirmed actor Christian Bale is in talks to play the role of Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic based on Walter Isaacson’s official biography of the late Apple co-founder. Variety adds that insiders believe Bale will begin filming for the biopic this spring. Bale, who can next be seen in Ridley Scott’s “Exodus: Gods and Kings,” is still negotiating for the Travis McGee pic “The Deep Blue Goodbye” at Fox....

iPhone and iPad currently support multiroom audio to AirPlay 2 speakers. A new report from Macotakara says that Apple is adding dual Bluetooth audio support for the next iPhone. Dual Bluetooth output could potentially enable two people to listen to music from the same phone, connecting two sets of AirPods simultaneously. Currently, the iPhone software only supports connecting to one audio profile device at a time. You can be paired to multiple headphones but the sound can only ever come out of one set....

According to a new report from BuzzFeed News, Apple is currently planning to unveil its refreshed Apple TV in September. The company had originally planned to unveil the device at WWDC this summer, but scrapped it from the event at the last minute. A September unveil has seemingly been expected since the announcement was pulled from WWDC. The report goes on to corroborate much of what we reported earlier this year....

Product: Today we’re taking a look at a brand-new word game for iOS called 4Snaps. The premise of the game is like a cross between charades and Draw Something. You’re given a choice of three words. You have to pick one of these and then take four photos (“snaps”) to help the other player guess the word. Roblox has announced that they have more than 100 million active users playing per month. An online sandbox game engine created by the Roblox Corporation and released over a decade ago, Roblox struggled to gain popularity at first, but soon found itself with a small but dedicated community that seems to grow exponentially as the years go by. The New iPad Buyers’ Guide published by iLounge this week included a piece that speculated Apple might be working on a standalone camera product. While the story discussed the possibility of Apple working on a point-and-shoot iSight camera, iLounge clearly labeled it as speculation and simultaneously noted it received a tip claiming Apple is working on the project. QR Codes are definitely a cool technology that are included on websites and other products. But having a QR Code on Bananas doesn’t seem to work. News today about the upcoming merger of T-Mobile and Sprint suggests that the two wireless providers won’t be selling any of their assets ahead of an announcement that could come as early as later this month. Reuters reports that with the carriers expecting a tough road ahead with regulators, the companies have decided to hold on to their spectrum holdings before making expected concessions in negotiations. Informal talks about a renewed merger between the two carriers were rumored to have started back in May, while we heard last month that an initial agreement was close at hand....

Tank Girl comic book co-creator Alan Martin says Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment is developing a movie reboot of the franchise. Created by Martin and Jamie Hewlett in 1988, Tank Girl (aka. Rebecca Buck) made the jump from the comics to the big screen in 1995’s live-action film. Directed by Rachel Talalay (Doctor Who) and starring Lori Petty (Orange is the New Black), the post-apocalyptic sci-fi adventure bombed at the box office and failed to win over most critics....

Also, with the additional configuration options Apple added to the base model yesterday, there is no reason to have a high-end and a low-end model on the store. The Zand is a desktop stand designed to be used with the iPad. It is constructed out of brushed aluminum. To use the stand, there’s no adhesives, clamps or hooks used to make the device stick to it.
