Thanks to Apple’s patent on the MagSafe connectors used in MacBook Airs and Pros, the list of third-party external batteries for MacBooks previously began with Hyper’s HyperJuice/HyperJuice 2 and ended with Lenmar’s ChugPlug — not much of a variety. Apple’s legal department chased Hyper for attaching harvested MagSafe connectors to its batteries, and Lenmar chose a workaround, sending ChugPlug’s power indirectly though an Apple wall adapter. Neither solution was ideal. It took until now for a completely different third solution to appear: BatteryBox ($220) from Gbatteries Energy....

This court, however, dismissed the latest Qualcomm lawsuit. Speaking on a panel at the Quantum Australia 2022 Conference on Wednesday, DSTG chief defence scientist Tanya Monro detailed that the agency, which is part of the Department of Defence, will be taking “sensors out of the lab and integrating them, putting them in a real context, and most importantly, getting them in the hands of the ultimate end-users, so they can understand the advantage [quantum] can provide”. On Season 3 of Queer Eye, the Fab 5 loaded us in their sleek, black SUV and took us to Kansas City, Missouri to meet a whole new cast of heroes. These beautiful people made us laugh, cry, drink, and cry some more. The “make-betters,” as Jonathan, Antoni, Karamo, Tan, and Bobby like to call them (not makeovers), were, well, nothing short of “shamazing.” These people’s new “lewks” gave us life and the lessons they took away from the Fab 5 were ones that will stay with them forever, right?...
