Several reports have suggested that Apple is planning a new color of its iPhone 8, and now it looks like the launch of that device is nearing. According to a report today, Virgin Mobile has informed employees that Apple is launching a (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus this week… The memo, obtained by MacRumors, states that Virgin Mobile will be adding the new smartphone to its inventory on Monday, April 9th following Apple’s announcement....

The Wall Street Journal has posted an extensive report detailing Apple’s many attempts at getting serious about a TV product. This includes both hardware and software: the article says Apple did consider building a physical TV set at one stage. On the media front, the report says Apple’s harsh terms have put off the cable networks from getting onboard. The article includes several choice anecdotes regarding Apple SVP Eddy Cue. In one case, Cue curtly responded to a cable network execs that “time is on my [Apple’s] side”....

The latest version of the finance software starts with an enhanced bill management center. Quicken 2018 lets users manage and pay online bills using the Mac app with 11,000+ sources supported. Quicken’s bill management center automatically downloads bill PDFs and captures due dates and payment amounts as well. Mac customers now have more options for Quicken versions for the first time with Starter, Deluxe, and Premier versions offered....

The first A Quiet Place 2 trailer has been released alongside Black Christmas. The sequel to the 2018 horror-thriller has been widely anticipated after the original’s tremendous success, which even saw the film receive an Oscar nomination for sound editing. Directed, co-written and starring John Krasinski alongside his real-life wife Emily Blunt, A Quiet Place told a post-apocalyptic tale with a very unique twist. After rolling out for a few smartphones, Realme X2 Pro is finally getting its Android 10-based Realme UI. According to the Realme forums, the update has already started rolling out for a limited device on March 28th. It will be a staged rollout in an attempt to ensure the stability of the update bearing build version RMX1931EX_11.C.23 which is a stable update. According to Realme, once they have ascertained that the limited rollout doesn’t have many bugs or issues, they will conduct a broader rollout via OTA that will reach Realme X2 Pro devices in upcoming days so do check out the ‘Software Update’ within the Settings app....

Bloomberg reports that Apple is currently developing a new ARM-based chip that could appear in future MacBook Pros as soon as this year. According to the report, the new Mac chip may be used for low-power tasks that currently rely on Intel’s chip to process. Nike’s fitness band, the FuelBand came out in February of 2012. The Nike+ FuelBand SE, the newest model of the fitness device, was released last month. Since it relies on Bluetooth LE, the Nike+ FuelBand SE is compatible with the iPhone 4S and later, as well as the fifth generation iPod Touch. Bluetooth LE allows the band to automatically connect with the Nike+ FuelBand App. The new FuelBand has been designed to be more accurate and more water-resistant....
